NBA Cup Semifinals: New York Knicks vs. TBD Tickets

The NBA Cup brings a high-stakes tournament atmosphere to the basketball schedule, with the New York Knicks set for a potential semifinal appearance at Madison Square Garden. The listed event date is December 9, 2026; the opposing team is TBD, and the event listing notes that the game is conditional (“if necessary”). Check the event details as the tournament progresses for confirmation of the matchup and schedule.

The Knicks have a long history at the Garden, where home games draw passionate crowds and every possession can feel consequential. A tournament semifinal adds extra urgency to the familiar New York setting, with the crowd's energy and the game's stakes combining for a compelling night of live basketball. The arena is located above Penn Station in Midtown Manhattan, making it convenient to reach by train and subway. Prices currently start around $120, with costs varying by seat location, availability, and demand.

Venue and Seating Information

Madison Square Garden uses a multi-level bowl layout with Floor, 100 Level, 200 Level, and 300 Level seating. For Knicks basketball, center 100 Level sideline sections are a strong choice: they offer close views and a clear angle on the court. The 200 Level provides an elevated perspective that makes it easier to follow plays as they develop across the floor.

The 300 Level is a more budget-conscious option, with a broad view of the game from higher in the arena. Seats in the upper corners are farther from the action, so they may be less suitable for fans who prioritize close-up detail. Accessible seating is available across the venue's levels.

Parking Information

On-site parking is very limited around Madison Square Garden. Commercial garages near Penn Station and 8th Avenue are the closest practical option, while garages toward Herald Square or Chelsea may offer lower prices in exchange for a longer walk.

• Nearby commercial garages: Within roughly a 1–5 minute walk; event rates are commonly about $30–$80 and may rise with demand.
• Farther garages: Around a 10–15 minute walk toward Herald Square or Chelsea; rates are typically about $20–$50, depending on demand.
• Street parking: Limited and subject to restrictions, so it is not a reliable plan for game night.

Avoid waiting until the last minute to find parking near the arena, as nearby garages can fill quickly and prices may increase. Public transportation is a convenient alternative, with the venue directly above Penn Station.
